Ford 460 rebuild by a Master
"Ray is a master at rebuilding engines. After 60+ years in the business he has amassed an astonishing amount of knowledge in machine shop techniques. I brought him my 460 Ford engine to build and it is thing of beauty to behold. Now a 472ci monster of a motor with all of Rays 60+ years of knowledge inside. You couldn’t ask for a better result of an obsolete engine build. And don’t think that’s all he can machine. He was working on tractors, motorcycles and modern engines also during my visits. I truly enjoyed talking to such a nice great person while I was there. You don’t stay in business that long treating your customers badly. Thanks Ray for all the knowledge you freely shared and the engine that will be around long after I’m gone!"

"Brought a Jeep 4.0 engine block to Ray's to be bored over and rebuilt. He cleaned and checked everything over and even ordered all the parts required to get it back together as good as new or better! It was great to talk to and get to know someone as experienced as Ray in the engine building world. Would definitely recommend Ray's Automotive Machine Shop for all your engine builds."

"Ray provided the best advice and recommendations for me on rebuilding my 460 in the truck I'm restoring. Great job on boring my block, turning and polishing my crank, restoring my rods and turning my flywheel. He also found all the good parts i needed for the rebuild. He's a little out of the way but well worth the drive. I'd highly recommend him for you machine shop needs. He will even sit down and talk racing with you. "

"Just picked up my Original 289 for my 65 Mustang today, and I couldn’t be happier! Rays knowledge and willingness to walk you through what different changes could do for your motor was great! I have no question that once it gets re-installed that it will be a great motor for years to come. His work, and his mechanics work has always been phenomenal. I took my motor to Ray’s because he had already completely rebuilt my grandmothers 351 Cleveland that now put out over 500hp, and it has run perfectly ever since. Can’t thank him and his crew enough for the work they did!"
